For the old car enthusiast and collectors, you should see this news, I think. This might take your attention for a while. Have you heard the 1930′s Bugatti Type 51? I’m sure you already heard that awesome sport car.
A good news for you. Next on 5 February 2011 at Bonhams’ Paris sale of Motor Cars which will be held on the Grand Palais on the Champs-Elysees, Paris, a 1933 Bugatti Type 51 Grand Prix Two-Seater (picture above) will be available to watch even to buy and bring it to your garage. Just prepare your $1.8 million in your pocket until the day of the show, if you want the car absolutely.
Let’s see a little history of the car itself. Owned by the youngest Fitzroy John Somerset, the number five of Baron Raglan, the former Patron and Chairman of the Bugatti Owners’ Club and trustee of the Bugatti Trust. The family has been renowned with the Bugatti from the great-great grandfather, the 1st Baron, Lord Raglan. He once said,
“My passion for Bugattis started when I was 18 and I have raced around the world”.
1979, Lord Raglan was bought the Bugatti Type 51. About two and a half years, he restored the car and then brought it onto the races for the next 20 years.
Prepare for now if you want to bring it to your garage, at least prepare for traveling to Paris to watch the auction.
