Jake Harris, ‘Deadliest Catch’ Star Admitted, “I needs help!”

The big drama on Deadliest Catch on Tuesday, June 15th, had nothing related to crabs. Instead, it had to do with Jake Harris becoming a addict.

Jake’s father, Captain Phil Harris, caught his son stealing his pills. After wanting to motivate Jake in captaining the Cornelia Marie, Jake continued to slack off and act like a spoiled brat (many people feel, anyway).

Phil confronted Jake, calling him “A Thief and A Liar” after witnessing his son stealing his pills, an act that the father and captain called “unthinkable” Phil told his son that after they return to shore, he wants nothing to do with him.

The episode closed as Jake pledge along with his father, admitting that they is definitely an addict and needs help.

Personally i think for both father and son on this situation. Just as one avid watcher of shows like Intervention, and as somebody who has known friends with drug problems, I can imagine the pain and difficulty that these two men went through during their confrontation.

This is simply the start of your rocky, volitile manner, as Deadliest Catch fans are aware that Captain Phil died earlier this year. The truth is, in the future’s episode features the captain suffering a stroke.

Jake please hang in there…I’ve watched the show since the beginning and seen the hard work you’ve put in on the Cornelia Marie. I know you can overcome this with the proper support. I’m pulling for you man!

I’m 24 years old and i’ve been doing drugs for 10 years. I know it’s hard to stop something like that once you’ve started. Keep your promise to your father and get help with this…don’t just do it for him but do it for yourself!..hang in there, i know you can do it.
